Canon 40d, 70-200 2.8 IS @ 200
ISO 3200 f 2.8 @ 1/200
A shot from last weekend HSNEF Anniversary celebrations shoot. I was sitting in the 12th or 13th row from stage to the left among the audience, as it was my baby sitting duty day. Set the ISO to 3200, Mode to TV, selected 1/200 and fired away. No other lens can beat 70-200 2.8 IS in these situations. With F4 70-200 IS or any other slower lens even if one can manages to shoot, by deliberately under exposing - as slower shutter speeds will result in softness due to subject motion - effort required in PP to fix the exposure and remove the noise is significant..
Nice Shot...
ReplyDeleteWow.. very clean. very nice shot. Did you say you PPed to remove the noise you get with ISO 3200 or there is just no noise with this lens? btw, is this your new lens?
ReplyDeleteIt's my new toy. Resisted several years, but finally yielded to the temptation and bought it in Jan. Originally, there was some noise in this shot. I used Lightroom to filter the noise.
ReplyDeleteYeah, lens temptations and resistance.. its tough :-). BTW, good luck with your lens.
